Community Meeting: Landfill Methane Emissions, Community Perspectives, and Potential Regulation Updates

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) invites you to participate in a community meeting to discuss ongoing concerns related to landfill odors and air emissions, and discuss potential changes to the California Landfill Methane Regulation. This meeting is an opportunity for community members to share their experiences and provide input on potential updates to landfill methane control measures. CARB welcomes your thoughts, experience, and perspectives.
Attendees will hear from community members who live and work in communities impacted by landfill operations. CARB staff will provide an overview of the current Landfill Methane Regulation, share information about potential updates under consideration, and listen to community feedback to inform future regulatory and program development.

Directions: The University Center is located on the College of the Canyons’ Valencia campus and
is best accessed via University Center Drive, the southernmost campus entrance on
Rockwell Canyon Road. Parking in campus parking lot 14 will be free during the event.

Remote Option: Zoom Webinar
The staff presentation will be posted in English and Spanish in advance of the meeting. Spanish language interpretation services will be provided on Zoom for remote attendees, but interpretation services will not be available for in-person attendees at the University Center. Written feedback can be submitted following the workshop until August 8, 2025. If you have questions, require special accommodation, or need materials in an alternate format (i.e., Braille, large print), please contact us.
