Wal-Mart Stores and Moeller Contract Packaging, Inc. Case Settles for $26,400

On November 1, 2016, a case was settled with Wal-Mart Stores and Moeller Contract Packaging, Inc. for supplying/selling Super Tech Brake Parts Cleaner and Super Tech Carburetor Cleaner at two different Walmart stores, which contained concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) exceeding the ten percent VOC limits for the Brake Cleaner category and the Carburetor or Fuel-Injection air Intake Cleaner category specified in the California Code of Regulations, title 17, section 94509(a).  These violations caused approximately 0.51 tons of excess emissions. The companies paid $26,400.00 to settle the case.
