West Coast Diesel LLC Case Settles for $7,000
West Coast Diesel LLC will pay $7,000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $7,000.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in July, 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that West Coast Diesel LLC installed illegal diesel particulate filters (DPFs) onto on-road heavy-duty diesel trucks. ARB documented violations as they related to the Verification Procedure, Warranty and in-Use Compliance Requirements for in-Use Strategies to Control Emissions from Diesel Engines (Verification Program). To settle the case, West Coast Diesel LLC agreed to the $7,000.00 penalty and to comply with the Verification Program and other ARB programs.
