Public Dialogue Sessions on Community Engagement Model: On November 28 via remote access, on November 29 in Yuba City, on November 30 in Salinas, and on December 11 in Oakland, CARB will host public dialogue sessions in order to improve community engagement efforts and ask for the public’s expertise and input. A Community Engagement Model is being developed in collaboration with community members to help CARB staff create and implement robust engagement plans. The purpose of this model is to help staff as they work on projects, policies, programs, and regulations. The public will have the option to join a dialogue session virtually or in a location close to where they live to discuss the Community Engagement Model and how they can become involved. In addition to the four public dialogue sessions scheduled for this year, six will also take place in January 2024.
Workshop on Credit Pooling Concept Under Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation: On November 28 via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop to introduce a zero-emission vehicle credit pooling concept under the Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation. The pooling concept would allow zero-emission vehicles sold in one state to count as compliant in another state.
Workshop on Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engines: On November 28 via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop on the role of hydrogen in California’s medium- and heavy-duty on-road vehicles. This workshop has been organized as part of the Clean Truck Partnership.
Advanced Clean Fleets Drayage Training Webinar: On Nov. 30 via remote access, CARB will host a public training webinar to provide an overview of the drayage truck requirements in the Advanced Clean Fleets Regulation. CARB staff will outline the upcoming compliance requirements. The webinar will be recorded and made available on the Advanced Clean Fleets website. The public is encouraged to submit questions in advance to facilitate an efficient discussion.
