New Benefit Assessment Tools: California Climate Investments’ benefit assessment tools, previously known as benefit criteria tables are available for use. Visit the California Climate Investments Reporting Tools Hub to learn which tool to use for your program. For classic projects selected through solicitations before February 28, 2025, either the new benefit assessment tool or the archived benefit criteria table below may be used.

Co-benefit Assessment Methodologies
In addition to GHG emissions reductions, quantification methodologies are being developed to also estimate other benefits and key variables. CARB continues to develop methods to assess additional social, economic, and environmental co-benefits achieved by California Climate Investments projects.
