John Paul Mitchell Systems Case Settles for $6,000.00
On September 24, 2012, a case was settled with John Paul Mitchell Systems (JPM) for selling non-compliant hair styling product (all other forms) into California from 2007 through 2011 that exceeded the 2 percent by weight volatile organic compound limit in the Consumer Products Regulation, Title 17, California Code of Regulations (CCR), section 94509(a). Sales of the JPM Firm Style Lab Extreme Thickening Glue resulted in 0.36 tons of excess VOC emissions. JPM paid $6000.00 to settle the case.
