JM Products-Isoplus LLC Case Settles for $60,450

On October 18, 2016, a case was settled with JM Products-Isoplus LLC  for selling/manufacturing “Isoplus Oil Sheen Hairspray” subject to the volatile organic compound (VOC) limit for the “Hair Styling Products: Aerosol and Pump Sprays” category, California Code of Regulations, title 17, section 94509(a). The product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 6 percent by weight VOC limit for the category. Excess emissions in this case were approximately 4.03 tons. The company paid $60,450.00 to settle the case.
