Zim American Integrated Shipping Services Co. Case Settles for $1,500

Zim American Integrated Shipping Services Co. will pay $1,500 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, for violating air quality regulations.  This settlement was reached on October 11, 2010.  An investigation by the ARB showed that the Zim American Integrated Shipping Services Co. vessel, Zim Luanda, failed to properly complete switchover from Heavy Fuel Oil over to Low-Sulfur Distillate Fuel outside of Regulated California Waters.  To settle the case, Zim American Integrated Shipping Services Co. agreed to the $1,500 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
