$3,000 in Fines Paid by What a Shine

On November 19, 2007, a case was settled with What a Shine for selling 10,160 units of What a Shine Green Metal Polish and 6,286 units of What a Shine Pink Metal Polish that was in violation of the 30 percent by weight VOC limit for Metal Polish/Cleaner, Title 17, California Code of Regulations, Section 94509(a). The company was also in violation of the date code requirement, Section 94512(b) Administrative Requirements (b) Product Dating. The company paid $3,000 in penalties to settle the case.
