West Coast Casing, LLC Case Settles for $34,750
West Coast Casing, LLC will pay $34,750.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $26,062.50 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $8,687.50 will go to the School Bus Retrofit Project to retrofit school buses throughout California with diesel emission control strategies. This settlement was reached in November, 2016.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that West Coast Casing, LLC failed to meet the applicable performance standards for many trucks in their fleet. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation (13 CCR § 2025). To settle the case, West Coast Casing, LLC agreed to the $34,750.00 penalty and to comply with TB and other ARB programs.
