Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Case Settles for $1,500
In August 2015, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (Walmart) agreed to pay $1,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Walmart had non-complaint generators that were not legal for sale in California. To settle the case, Walmart agreed to the $1,500.00 penalty and to comply with Title 13 California Code of Regulations section 2400(a)(2).
