TRI PRofessional Haircare Case Settles for $21,000

On October 16, 2014, a case was settled with Tri Professional Haircare for selling/manufacturing “Aero Body Infusion Spray-in Volumizer” subject to the VOC limit for the Hair Styling Products: Aerosol and Pump Sprays category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 6 percent by weight VOC limit. There were approximately 2.23 tons of excess emissions. The company paid $21,000.00 to settle the case.
