Swift Transportation Co. of Arizona, LLC will pay $32,250.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations. The penalties paid will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in May, 2016.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Swift Transportation Co. of Arizona, LLC failed to properly report diesel trucks into the Truck Regulation Upload, Compliance, and Reporting System (TRUCRS). ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. To settle the case, Swift Transportation Co. of Arizona, LLC agreed to the $32,250.00 penalty and to comply with TB and other ARB programs. Swift Transportation Co. of Arizona, LLC has no history of previous violations of ARB regulations.
