Standard Meat Co., Inc. Case Settles for $375.00
In June 2013, Standard Meat Co., Inc. paid $375.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $281.25 went to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $93.75 went to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Standard Meat Co., Inc. failed to timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance options/credits/provisions of the Truck & Bus Regulation. ARB documented a violation as it related to the Truck & Bus regulation. To settle the case, Standard Meat Co., Inc. agreed to the $375.00 penalty and to comply with the Truck & Bus Regulation and other ARB programs.
