Sorbie Distributing Corporation Case Settles for $3,850.00

On December 30, 2013, a case was settled with Sorbie Distributing Corporation for selling/manufacturing “Sorbie Hot Shapes” subject to the VOC limit for Hair Styling Products: Aerosol and Pump Sprays, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 6 percent by weight VOC limit. There were approximately 0.21 tons of excess emissions. The company paid $3,850.00 to settle the case.
