Scentsational Soaps and Candles Case Settles for $4,500

On May 22, 2017, a Consumer Products case was settled with Scentsational Soaps and Candlesfor selling, supplying or offering for sale a non-compliant air freshener product in California. The product, Scentsational Dark Sahara Highly Scented Fragranced Room Spray, contained volatile organic compounds (VOC), which has been prohibited for use in the Air Fresheners: Liquid/Pump Spray category since January 1, 1993. The sales of the product resulted in approximately 0.12 tons of VOC emissions. Scentsational Soaps and Candles have agreed to pay $4,500 to settle this case.
