SalonQuest, LLC Case Settles for $12,500

In July 2015, a case was settled with SalonQuest LLC for manufacturing and selling “Aquage Beyond Body Thermal Finishing Spray”, subject to the VOC limit for the Hair Styling Products: Aerosol and Pump Spray category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). This violation was self-disclosed and the product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 6 percent by weight VOC limit for both categories. Excess emissions in this case were approximately 1.18 tons. The company paid $12,500.00 to settle the case.
