Pheacians Shipping Ltd Case Settles for $20,000

Pheacians Shipping Ltd. has paid $20,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on January 24, 2015. An investigation by ARB Enforcement staff documented that the Western Lucrezia, managed by Pheacians Shipping Ltd. failed to switchover its main engine, auxiliary engines, and boiler from heavy fuel oil to low-sulfur distillate fuel before entering into the Regulated California Waters. To settle this case, Pheacians Shipping Ltd. agreed to the $20,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB Regulations.
