Personal Care Products, Inc. Case Settles for $22,500
On June 29, 2012, a case was settled with Personal Care Products, Inc. for selling non-compliant Score Body Spray into California that was subject to the high volatility organic compound (HVOC) limit. The Score Body Spray exceeded the zero percent by weight VOC limit for aerosol deodorants in the Antiperspirant and Deodorant Regulation, title 17, California Code of Regulations (CCR) section 94502(a). The product was sold between 2007 and 2008 and resulted in 3.38 tons of excess HVOC emissions attributable to the violation. Personal Care Products, Inc. agreed to pay $22,500 to settle the case.
