Pacific Gas And Electric Company Case Settles for $20,000.00
After timely submitting its greenhouse gas emissions data reports for the year 2011, its first as a supplier of natural gas and its first as a gas distribution system, PG&E’s verifier could not conclude its review of those two reports to meet the verification deadline. ARB concluded that the two reports were accurate, but were verified three days late, in violation of the Regulation for the Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions, California Code of Regulations, title 17, section 95100 et seq. PG&E cooperated with ARB. To resolve the matter, PG&E agreed to update its Greenhouse Gas Monitoring Plan, and to pay a penalty of $20,000.
