Orient Line Co, Ltd. Case Settles for $4,500.00

Orient Line Company Ltd. has paid $4,500.00 in penalties to the Air Resources Board for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on August 6, 2013. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Orient Line Company Ltd. vessel, Double Prestige, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters. Orient Line Company Ltd. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, Orient Line Company Ltd. agreed to the $4,500.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
