California Corporate Greenhouse Gas Reporting Workshop: On Mar. 23 via remote access, CARB will hold a virtual public workshop to support the development of the California Corporate Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program authorized by Senate Bill (SB) 253 (Wiener, Stats. 2023; codified in Health & Safety Code (HSC) § 38532), as amended by SB 219 (Wiener, Stats. 2024, Chapter 766; codified in HSC §§ 38532 and 38533). The workshop will include an update from CARB staff on additional information for the August 10, 2026, Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions reporting deadline. The workshop will also cover the next stage in regulatory development and provide an overview of the development of the greenhouse gas reporting requirements for 2027-2030 under HSC § 38532.
Light-Duty Drive Forward Incentives Workshop: On Mar. 24 via remote access, CARB is hosting a workshop focused on the light-duty incentives portfolio. Drive Forward is an initiative aimed at continuing the State’s commitment to meet federally mandated air quality targets, fulfill state goals, and protect public health by investing in the cleanest available technologies. Program staff for this workshop intend to continue the discussion from November including attention to the following topics: (1) Light-duty purchase incentives, (2) Proposed funding identified in the Governor’s Proposed Budget, and (3) Gather and discuss feedback on what additional resources may be needed.
Community Air Protection Consultation Group: On Mar. 25 in Sacramento and via remote access, CARB will host a public meeting for the Community Air Protection Consultation Group. The Consultation Group was developed and implemented by CARB in response to the passing of Assembly Bill 617 in 2017 and aims to provide a statewide strategy to reduce emissions of toxic air contaminants and criteria air pollutants in communities highly impacted by air pollution. Topics at this meeting will include: (1) A program Update, (2) Discussion and review of the draft charter, and (3) An overview of key Program milestones for 2026 including workplan discussion for Consultation Group meetings.
Heavy-Duty Drive Forward Incentives Workshop: On Mar. 25 via remote access, CARB is hosting a workshop focused on the medium and heavy-duty incentives portfolio. Drive Forward is an initiative aimed at continuing the State’s commitment to meet federally mandated air quality targets, fulfill state goals, and protect public health by investing in the cleanest available technologies. Program staff for this workshop intend to continue the discussion from November including attention to the following topics: (1) Heavy-duty Incentives, and (2) Fiscal Year 2025-2026 and 2026-27 Air Quality Improvement Program Funding Plan. The workshop will conclude with an open discussion.
Board Meeting: On Mar. 26-27, via remote access and in Sacramento, the Board will convene to hear the following agenda items: (1) 2026 Updates to Motor Vehicle Emissions Budgets for the San Joaquin Valley 75 parts per billion Ozone State Implementation Plan, (2) Consideration of Criteria Pollutant Planning Efforts, and (3) Proposal to Permanently Adopt the Emergency Vehicle Emissions Regulations.
