Ecology Action

Statewide EV Assistance Model training program for low-income and disadvantaged communities

• Danny Ordaz and Rachel Peterson shared an overview of Ecology Action’s EV education and outreach training program, supported by Electrify America funding.
• The tool focuses on:
  • EV outreach and education (what EVs are and how to access them)
  • A scalable training model
  • Recruitment and engagement of CBOs and other participants
• The official launch of the training program took place on January 29, 2026

Valley Clean Air Now

Building capacity and scaling effective outreach strategies tailored to low-income and disadvantaged communities

• Tom Knox presented Valley Clean Air Now’s work to develop a national guide for creating ZEV adoption programs in disadvantaged communities, also supported by Electrify America funding.
• The resource, the ZEV Community Action Guide, is designed to:
  • Serve as a roadmap for CBO-led ZEV adoption efforts
  • Be adaptable to regional and community-specific needs
  • Emphasize documenting results and highlighting success stories
