Trinity Global Express, Inc. Settles For $48,788
In December 2025 the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with Trinity Global Express, Inc. (Trinity) with its principal location in Romeoville, Illinois for the company’s violation of the Heavy-Duty Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Program (HD I/M Regulation), or Clean Truck Check Program (CTC Program), under the California Code of Regulations, title 13, sections 2195-2199.1.
During a truck stop check conducted by CARB Enforcement Division staff on one fleet truck, it was documented that Trinity had tampered with the emission control components in the truck, resulting in the violation. To settle the case, Trinity agreed to the suspended penalty of $48,788, which will not be due unless Trinity operates the tampered truck in California, and it is found to not be fully compliant with all California rules and regulations.
