International Metals LLC, dba KP Kool Products Settles For $3,276
In June 2025, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with International Metals LLC, dba KP Kool Products (Kool Products), with its principal location in Phoenix, Arizona for the company’s violations related to CARB’s Portable Fuel Containers and Spill-Proof Spouts Regulation (Portable Fuel Container Regulation), as codified in the California Code of Regulations, title 13, sections 2467–2467.9.
CARB alleged Kool Products violated the Portable Fuel Container Regulation by selling, supplying, offering for sale, advertising, or manufacturing for sale in California portable fuel containers (PFC) without obtaining the required CARB Executive Orders.
To settle the case, Kool Products agreed to the penalty of $36 per noncompliant PFC for a total penalty of $3,276. The civil penalty amount will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. Kool Products fully cooperated with CARB to resolve this matter and agrees to comply with all regulatory requirements.
