Please see below for upcoming public events for the week of September 2, 2024.
Public Landscaper Workgroup Meeting on Small Off-Road Engines: On September 4 via remote access, CARB will host a public workgroup to discuss updates to the small off-road engine (SORE) regulations affecting new engines used in landscape equipment. Professional landscapers are invited to participate and discuss zero-emission equipment, smart charging technologies, and incentive programs. SORE emissions have decreased by 50% since 2000 due to SORE regulations and a rise in adoption of zero-emission equipment (ZEE). Further reductions of SORE emissions are needed despite this progress. CARB has adopted amendments to the SORE regulations that will transition SORE equipment to ZEE as soon as possible. More information can be found on the SORE rulemaking page.
Rule Provision Truck Regulation Implementation Group Meeting: On September 4 via remote access, CARB will host a public meeting session of the Truck Regulation Implementation Group (TRIG) to discuss rule provisions. Staff will discuss the Zero-Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) Purchase Exemption and Daily Usage Exemption processes. The State and Local Government Fleets and High Priority Fleets requirements are available for review in order to prepare for the meeting discussion. At TRIG meetings, CARB staff offer information on the Advanced Clean Fleets Regulation. The public will have the opportunity to make comments and ask questions at the end of the meeting as time permits. More information can be found on the Advanced Clean Fleets Meetings & Events page.
Infrastructure Truck Regulation Implementation Group Meeting: On September 5 via remote access, CARB will host a public meeting session of the Truck Regulation Implementation Group (TRIG) to discuss infrastructure. CARB staff will focus on the California Energy Commission’s proposed charger reliability, recordkeeping and reporting requirements for commercial fleets, and options for complying with these requirements. The public will have the opportunity to make comments and ask questions at the end of the meeting if time permits. More information can be found on the Advanced Clean Fleets Meetings & Events page.
