Fresno Peterbilt Lunch and Learn Event: On August 5 in Fresno, CARB staff will be available to answer questions at a Lunch and Learn event hosted by Fresno Peterbilt. The event will feature information on alternative-fuel vehicles, infrastructure, incentives, and Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) Regulation guidance. CARB staff will inform fleet operators and managers regarding vehicle and infrastructure incentives and regulations, including ACF. Pacific Gas and Electric Company and San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District will also be on hand to address questions.
Policy Workgroup Meeting: Fiscal Year 2024-25 Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives: On August 6 via remote access, CARB will host a policy workgroup meeting to discuss the Clean Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP), Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE), and Innovative Small E-Fleet Pilot Project (ISEF) as policies are developed for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-25 Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives. The public will have the opportunity to provide input to CARB staff that will inform proposed policy changes, new implementation mechanisms, and eligibility criteria for the upcoming funding year. The workgroup will also include an update on the FY 2024-25 Long-Term Heavy-Duty Investment Strategy.
Public Workgroup: Clean Transportation Equity and Light-Duty Vehicle Investments: On August 6 via remote access, CARB will host its annual public workgroup to discuss the Proposed Fiscal Year 2024-25 Funding Plan (Funding Plan). The Draft Funding Plan, expected to be published August 2024, guides clean transportation investments based on the California Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-25 State Budget. After a period of public comment and staff review, the final Funding Plan will be published and presented before the CARB Board November 21, 2024. Through the Funding Plan, CARB staff provides recommendations for funding and policy changes for incentive projects and programs. This workgroup will serve as a forum to provide more information and updates on CARB equity-driven incentive and mobility projects while giving community members an opportunity to share their thoughts, concerns, and suggestions.
Technical Working Group Workshop on Commercial Harbor Craft Regulation: On August 7 via remote access, CARB will host its third Technical Working Group (TWG) workshop. On March 24, 2022, CARB’s Board members directed staff to form a TWG to assess the commercial availability of lower-emitting combustion engines and zero-emission technology for harbor craft. Staff will then report back findings by December 31, 2024, and every two years thereafter through December 31, 2032.
