More work, energy must be used to generate and transport it than what will be obtained. Generating it requires electricity. Transporting it requires tremendous insulation because of the very low temperature of liquid hydrogen. It must be done by trucks because there is no ducting or pipeline that is insulated and usable. Generating thel electricity is also a problem. A gas burning power plant has an efficiency of about 35%. Unless the Power plant is next door, the losses in the input and output transformers and the transmission line mean that only about 15% is available. What is the system efficiency to generate the hydrogen??? If it is less than 95%, it is no better than a gasoline powered vehicle at 20%. Will the trucks be electric ?? This is even worse if they are because they can cause hundreds of times the pollution of a gasoline powered vehicle if they charge quickly to stay on the road!!!! File Upload (i.e., Attachments): N/A
