The journals listed below are accessible by all CalEPA staff at their office PCs or when connected to the VPN. Staff should be aware that copyright restrictions and license agreements govern use of the fee-based online journals. CalEPA staff cannot provide access to these licensed e-journals, or distribute content from them in any form, to anyone outside the Agency. Please help us control our subscription costs by accessing articles needed for CalEPA business only.
In addition to paid subscriptions, the CalEPA Library supports the open access philosophy of increased access to the research literature in science and other fields. See a list of free, "Open Access" journals. You can also access abstracts and some full text of academic journals, magazines and newspapers from California State Library Online Resources.

The library maintains subscriptions to a variety of news sources, listed below. Please note that access to these subscriptions is limited to a select number of staff due to licensing restrictions. If you need an article from any of the listed news sources, email the library with the article details. We’ll be happy to assist you in retrieving it.
