Rescheduled Notice of Incentive Program Advisory Public Meeting: On October 12 via remote access, CARB will hold the third public meeting of the Incentives Program Advisory Group (IPAG) to consider updates to the Carl Moyer Program for on-road heavy-duty vehicles as vehicle electrification increases. The public process will be led by Vice Chair Sandra Berg and Board members Davina Hurt and Gideon Kracov where the IPAG will hear from stakeholders on how to best support the transition to on-road heavy-duty vehicles as vehicle electrification increases in many sectors.
Training Webinar on Large Spark-Ignition Fleet Regulation: On October 13 via remote access, CARB will host a training webinar on requirements for the Large Spark-Ignition (LSI) Fleet Regulation. The course will provide an overview the LSI Fleet Regulation and how it applies to self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts, industrial tow tractors, sweeper scrubbers, and airport ground support equipment. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about reporting and labeling requirements and receive one-on-one assistance after the class presentation.
Public Meeting to Consider Assembly Bill 617 Community Air Protection Program - Arvin/Lamont Community Emissions Reduction Program: On October 13 in Sacramento and via remote access, CARB will conduct a public meeting to hear the Arvin/Lamont Community Emissions Reduction Program (CERP) and will consider invoking a California Environmental Quality Act exemption. Assembly Bill 617 (Garcia, 2017) requires community-focused action to reduce air pollution and improve public health in communities that experience disproportionate burdens from exposure to air pollutants. The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District and the Arvin/Lamont Community Steering Committee worked in partnership to develop their CERP.
