Virtual One-Stop Truck Event: On August 3 via remote access, CARB will host the virtual One-Stop Truck event. Participants will receive information on on-road and off-road regulations, the Vehicle and Engine Certification and Compliance Program, medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicle programs, the Heavy-Duty Inspection and Maintenance Program, zero-emission technology and ways to build zero-emission fleets, and funding opportunities. Featured sessions will include a virtual enforcement inspection demonstration as well as a California Highway Patrol’s basic inspection of terminals presentation. One-on-one assistance will also be available.
Draft 2022 Scoping Plan Community Listening Sessions: On August 3 in Fresno and August 4 in Los Angeles, CARB staff will host public listening sessions on the Draft 2022 Scoping Plan Update. At these events, Chair Liane M. Randolph, Board members, and Deputy Executive Officer Rajinder Sahota will join CARB staff in addressing the State’s plan to address climate change and hear from community members and stakeholders. In 2006, the Legislature passed the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32) which requires CARB to develop a Scoping Plan that describes California’s plan to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG). Topics of interest at during this session will include programs, policies and actions to reduce GHG emissions from major sources.
