Grand SK Corp. Settles For $3,000

In July 2022, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with Grand SK Corp. (Grand SK), with its principal location in East Rutherford, New Jersey in the amount of $3,000 for the company’s violations of CARB’s air quality regulations.

CARB staff conducted an investigation that revealed Grand SK sold, supplied, and/or offered for sale air fresheners for use in California containing concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) exceeding the standards specified in the Consumer Products Regulation (Cal. Code Regs., tit.17, § 94507 et. seq.). The VOC violations resulted in 10 pounds (0.0048 tons) of excess VOC emissions.

The penalty amount will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. Grand SK fully cooperated with CARB to resolve this matter and ceased their sale of the noncompliant products in California.
