Method to Report

Manufacturers submitting production reports are required to submit the following three documents:

1. Federal production
2. California directed production
3. Vehicle Family Summary (here)

For the 2025 MY California and Federal production reports, please use the template available at:

Templates for Heavy-Duty Vehicle Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Production Volume Reporting and for Exempted Off-Road Vehicles | US EPA

This template is equivalent to the draft EPA template. For the California Production Report, please list the zero-emission powertrain family as the engine family, where applicable.

Please report both Federal and California directed production as per the "CALIFORNIA GREENHOUSE GAS EXHAUST EMISSION STANDARDS AND TEST PROCEDURES FOR 2014 AND SUBSEQUENT MODEL HEAVY-DUTY VEHICLES". Please review the current CARB adopted version of 40 CFR 1037.250 found here:

Vehicle Family Summary

The vehicle family summary is a summation of the vehicle family production volume for both California and Federal markets. If no vehicles were produced, please may indicate this using the vehicle family summary and the first two reports referenced above need not be submitted.

eFile File Naming

Please upload these files to model year of the reported vehicle families. There is a Report Type under the reports document class. Please make sure you are selecting the correct report type and model year.
