Niteo Products, LLC Settles for $160,000.00
In November 2019, the California Air Resources Board and Niteo Products, LLC, of Dallas, Texas, reached a settlement agreement in the amount of $160,000.00. Niteo Products, LLC sold, supplied, offered for sale and/or manufactured an air freshener (double phase aerosol) product for use in California containing concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the standards specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations (17CCR), section 94509(a). The VOC violation resulted in 13.32 tons of excess VOC emissions. Part of the settlement amount was contributed to the Supplemental Environmental Project supporting the Coalition for Clean Air. To come into compliance, Niteo Products, LLC has modified the product to meet regulatory requirements for commerce in California.
