Following that posting there will be a teleconference foraccredited media onlywith ARB Chairman Mary D. Nichols and selected ARB staff members to answer questions about the auction and next steps in the cap-and-trade program leading up to the beginning of compliance on January 01, 2013.

Background:On Wednesday, November 14, 2012 the Air Resources Board held California’s first cap-and-trade carbon auction. These auctions will occur quarterly through 2020.
