Moore's Trucking Case Settles for $1,875.00
Moore’s Trucking. agreed to pay $1,875.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $1,408.00 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $467.00 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges. This settlement was reached in November 2013.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Moore’s Trucking, failed to test and maintain records of smoke emissions from its fleet of heavy-duty diesel vehicles for years 2011 and 2012 in violation of the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, Moore’s Trucking has agreed to the $1,875.00 penalty and to comply with the PSIP and other ARB applicable regulations.
