M&F Western Products, Inc. Case Settles for $4,000

On June 6, 2012, a case was settled with M&F Western Products, Inc., for selling Justin Brands Boot Paste Polish products subject to the VOC limit for “Footwear or Leather Care” product category, title17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509 (a). The footwear polish products contained concentrations of VOCs exceeding the 55 percent by weight VOC limit and the excess emissions attributable to the violations was 0.005 tons. The company paid $4,000 to settle the case.
