M&B Acquisition Incorporated Settles For $15,000
In December 2021, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and M&B Acquisition Incorporated (M&B) of Ontario, Canada, reached a settlement agreement in the amount $15,000 for violating CARB’s air quality regulations. The $15,000 will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
An investigation by CARB staff showed that M&B sold, supplied, and offered for sale Footwear or Leather Care Products: aerosol for use in California, that are not compliant with the Consumer Products Regulations. The Moneysworth & Best Mink Oil and Moneysworth & Best Suede Renew products contained concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the standards specified in California Code of Regulations, title 17, section 94509(a) (Consumer Products Regulations).
To come into compliance, M&B recalled these products as well as reformulated their products to be compliant with the Consumer Products Regulations.
