Martinez Trucking, Inc. Settlement
Martinez Trucking, Inc. Case Settles for $13,000.00
Martinez Trucking, Inc agreed to pay $13,000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $9,750 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $3,250 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges. This settlement was reached in October 2012.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Martinez Trucking, Inc failed to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) Regulation by failing to test trucks in 2010 and 2011 as required per the regulation. To settle this case, Martinez Trucking LLC agreed to the $13,000.00 penalty and to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program.
