$3,600 in Fines Paid by MA Laboratories Inc.
The MA Laboratories, Inc., in May of 2009 agreed to pay $3,600 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by ARB showed MA Laboratories, Inc., failed to properly self-inspect their diesel fleet to insure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle this case, Diversified Reclamation Services, Inc., San Jose agreed to pay the $3,600 penalty and to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program and other ARB regulations. $2,700 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, $450 to the Peralta Community College District, and $450 to the California Pollution Control Financing Authority.
