JLS Hauling Case Settlement
JLS Hauling Case Settles for $1,000
JLS Hauling will pay $1,000.00 for violating air quality regulations: $1,000.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California’s air quality. This settlement was reached in July 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that JLS Hauling failed to bring one of their on-road heavy duty diesel trucks into compliance with the PM BACT requirements of the Model Year Compliance Schedule. ARB documented violations of the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. To settle the case, JLS Hauling agreed to: (1) demonstrate proof of compliance with TB by August 31, 2017, (2) pay penalties of $1,000.00 by June 16, 2017, and (3) to comply with TB and other ARB programs.
