Household Essentials, LLC Case Settles for $3,000.00

On October 12, 2012, a case concerning the Notice of Violation, CP12-06-04, was settled with Household Essentials, LLC with a payment of $3,000. Between 2007 and 2011, the company sold non-compliant air freshener products named Cedar Power Spray in two fragrances, Real Cedar Essence and Real Cedar and Lavender Essence, into California. The air freshener products contained concentrations of VOCs exceeding the 18 percent by weight VOC limit specified in Title 17, CCR, Section 94509(a).
