Honeybee Gardens, Inc. Case Settles for $7,300
On April 8, 2010, Honeybee Gardens, Inc. settled the violations of the Consumer Products Regulation for $7,300 in lieu of litigation. Honeybee Gardens, Inc. offered for sale in California the Honeybee Gardens Odorless Polish Remover product. This product did not comply with VOC standard for the “Nail Polish Remover” regulated category and was not marked with a date of manufacture. “Nail Polish Remover” products manufactured on or after December 31, 2007 must meet a one-percent VOC standard as promulgated in the Consumer Products Regulation. As a manufacturer of a consumer product, they are required to mark each product with a date of manufacture.
