Henkel Corporation Case Settles for $16,000
On August 30, 2012, a case was settled with Henkel Corporation for selling non-compliant hair styling product (all other forms) into California from 2009 through 2011 that exceeded the 2 percent by weight volatile organic compound limit in the Consumer Products Regulation, Title 17, California Code of Regulations (CCR), section 94509(a). Sales of the product resulted in 1.16 tons of excess VOC emissions. The Henkel Corporation paid $16,000 to resolve the case.
