Glenn Transportation, Incorporated Case Settles for $14,250
Glenn Transportation, Inc. will pay $14,250.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $10,657.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $3,563.00 will go to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in October, 2015.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Glenn Transportation, Inc. failed to meet PM BACT requirements for all 1996 through 1999 engine model years and all 2005 through 2006 engine model years as required by the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to the TB Regulation. To settle the case, Glenn Transportation, Inc. agreed to the $14,250.00 penalty and to comply with TB and other ARB programs.
