Glaze ‘N Seal Products Case Settles for $4,050

Glaze ‘N Seal Products (Irvine, California) sold, supplied, and/or offered for sale a non-compliant General Purpose Degreaser in California. Enforcement staff purchased a sample of Glaze ‘N Seal Oil Stain Remover that contained concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the 0.5 percent limit for the General Purpose Degreaser: Non-aerosol category specified in title 17 California Code of Regulations section 94509(a). The violation resulted in 0.27 tons of excess VOC emissions, based upon the formulation and the sales information provided by Glaze ‘N Seal. Glaze ‘N Seal will reformulate the product to meet the category limit.
