Gaio Trucking Inc. Case Settles for $2,925.00

In May 2013, Gaio Trucking Inc. agreed to pay $2,925 in penalties; $2,193.75 to the California Air Pollution Fund and $731.25 to Peralta Colleges Foundation, for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Gaio Trucking failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program and Emission Control Label Program. To settle the case, Gaio Trucking agreed to the $2,925 penalty and to comply with the all ARB programs.
