Four Winds, Inc. Case Settlement
Four Winds, Inc. Case Settles for $3,000
Four Winds, Inc. will pay $3,000 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $3,000 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in October 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Four Winds, Inc. failed to apply for an extension for eight vehicles in the fleet that could not be retrofitted, as required by the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus Regulation (TB ) as codified in California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2025 (13 CCR § 2025). To settle the case, Four Winds, Inc. agreed to the $3,000 penalty and to comply with TB and other ARB programs.
