Building decarbonization should have automatic revisit in 2029

Dear CARB staff,

Thank you for your efforts to lead our nation, and sometimes our world, in decarbonization policies. Our state has been in a declared climate emergency (drought or fire) since 2014, and personally I began grieving in 2017 when my mother-in-law died in the Santa Rosa fire. So I am disappointed that the Governor's appointment of a new CARB director quickly resulted in Staff recommendations to change, weaken and delay the almost-adopted building decarbonization policies that CARB's public process has created.
Our Governor will only be in office for 2026, and this appears to be him making choices for all Californians to benefit a presidential run in 2028--he certainly doesn't run from fighting with President Trump on his podcast, so this is clearly a future-focused policy shift.
As such, I think it is appropriate for the weak tea decarbonization policies adopted in 2026 to be revisited in 2029, so our next Governor and next President can re-acknowledge the Climate Crisis that has cost me a family member, and update building decarbonization policies and timelines to better reflect science.

Thank you for your consideration of the proposal to put in 2029 check-in dates to reopen policy goals.
