This is something the Bay Area Air Quality Management Board is implementing. It is vital for air quality and environmental health, especially for low-income people who have a lot of stresses in life and lifestyle. It is also an important piece of the move to electrify our homes not just for health but to cut climate emissions. As we know, rising climate temperatures have a wide-range of expensive consequences from environmental crisis, wildfires, floods, sea-level et al to rising insurance prices which affects me, and difficulty accessing some insurance in CA.
